Overscaig Hotel - A fishing hotel eight miles west of Shinness on the shores of the Loch. Well worth a visit for local food and a good atmosphere. Open in the summer.

Shin Falls- Good family restaurant and souvenir shop with a playground and woodland walks. Opposite the famous salmon leap on the Shin Falls.
Crannag - bistro in Bonar Bridge open throughout the year. Highly recommended.
Crask Inn- possibly Britain's most remote pub in the A836 towards Tongue - simple food and bar in the middle of nowhere under Ben Klibreck 7 miles walk across the hill.
Dornoch, Tain Golspie and Brora also have a wide choice of places to eat.
