Lairg has a good selection of shops with three grocers, a petrol station, a chemist and a post office. The Sutherland Tweed Company sells interesting tweed sporting clothes and will make you a tweed suit. There is a medical centre and doctor.
Bonar Bridge has a very good butcher who will deliver, as does the butcher in Golspie. Dornoch is worth a shopping visit.
